Here is a link to my new 18th century sewing and general project blog.
I wanted a more public space *outside of LJ* for my personal sewing projects, and something that focuses specifically on the 18th century....and this LJ of mine is a somewhat messy mix of burlesque, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
My intent is that this blog also becomes a resource for others researching everything from sewing projects to art of the era.
I just put it together, so stay tuned for lot's of goodies...

Wow! This looks to be great. I am impressed. The frock coat looks spot-on. He is lucky to have someone who can sew like a champ and yeah, a man who Wears it is rare indeed. I tried to leave a message on the page but it would not let me? Do I have to open some kind of account other than this?
Will this be also, for selling your creations? I am sure you would make bank.
Also, Fiance'?! Congratulations to you and he. You seem and look so happy in all the photos and I am truly happy that you have found a place and person to share your future with. I look forward to seeing what you create. good luck with it all.
Oh yeah, have you read that new Gypsy Rose Lee Bio? I just finished it and wasquite well written and enjoyable. cheers!

Thanks sweetness!
I think all you need to be able to post on there is a google/gmail account.
So to subscribe to the blog, you just sign in using your google password and user-name. If you don't have one it's free to set one up.

I'll post the occasional blurb about stuff for sale on Etsy, and when I add new stuff to the shop, but this is mainly for my own personal sewing projects and for documenting the research as I work through them.
While it will be a way to show and record my work, it can also be a resource for others looking for answers to various dilemmas. Like "what the hell is fly fringe, why did they stop making it. It was really popular in the 1700s so how can I make my own?"

Haven't see the Gypsy bio yet :-0 sounds interesting, I'll have to look that one up!

Good Lord!
The featured clothing. Absolutely beautiful!
A shame such elegant garments are no longer in mainstream fashion.
Looking forward to Madame's inspired creations. I know these will be spectacular.
